Privacy
Ekinox is a Windows AI assistant published by Alexandre Le Corre. Read this notice before sharing professional information.
Purposes and legal grounds
Account management, requested assistance and subscriptions are processed to perform the contract. Accounting records meet the publisher’s legal duties. Access protection, technical monitoring and fraud prevention rely on its legitimate interest in securing the service. For business data, instructions and responsibilities are set out in the business processing annex.
Local data
Conversations stay on your computer, separately for each account and workspace. The Windows app protects saved sessions and history using Windows user encryption. Browser storage depends on your browser profile security. Clear history in Preferences.
Content processing
Your request, a limited conversation context and, when needed, a screenshot of the followed window are sent over HTTPS to our API and Google. Voice messages are sent for transcription. Text to read aloud is sent to the Gemini voice model. Ekinox does not retain screenshots or audio on its servers. Password fields recognised by Windows are masked; detection does not cover every application. While following is active, app names and titles of up to thirty available windows may accompany your request to choose a useful window. Only the chosen window is then observed; hidden tabs are not automatically read.
Document search on your PC
In the Windows app, relevant file search is on by default when allowed by your workspace. You can turn it off in Preferences. Ekinox searches document names for your request; only matching results and extracts subsequently requested by the AI are sent to complete your task. System folders, hidden folders, other accounts and network drives are excluded. Searches are bounded and may not find every file. Files are read and text is extracted on your computer. The original file is not uploaded or stored on our servers. The task objective, progress and quoted extracts may be saved in your local history for the retention period selected by your workspace. Turning search off removes current local access. You can still deliberately attach a specific file. Saved history can be erased in Preferences. Google or Microsoft sign-in does not grant access to your mailbox.
Connected work tools
These permissions are optional. The team owner chooses the services and functions available to its members. Their permissions are those of the account or key supplied by the administrator. Provider credentials are encrypted on the server, separated by workspace and never sent to the model. Existing personal access stays private; it is never shared automatically. Content needed for a task may be sent to the AI model. Action proposals and their results are temporarily retained in encrypted form to track execution and prevent duplicates; this is separate from local chat history. Removing a connection deletes its credentials and receipts from Ekinox. Provider permissions can also be managed in your account with that provider.
Providers and location
The API uses Fly.io in Paris. Account, membership, subscription and usage records use a dedicated Ekinox Supabase project in Paris. Accounts, sign-in sessions and data are separate from the publisher’s other products.
Account confirmation, password recovery, purchase confirmation and withdrawal emails use Resend with an Ekinox-only sending domain configured in Ireland. Resend processes the recipient’s address, email content, subscription references and amounts needed for purchase confirmations, and information needed to track delivery. Account emails contain a temporary authentication link. Click and open tracking are not configured for this sender.
AI processing uses Google Vertex AI and its EU multi-region endpoint. Provider terms may include logging or abuse-monitoring retention. No training does not mean no retention. We do not claim zero retention or exclusively European processing without explicit verification.
Billing and your rights
We store your identifier, email, memberships, roles, Stripe references and usage counters needed to provide your subscription. Stripe processes payment card information. Usage metadata contains no screenshots, audio or conversation text. A report sends only the text you enter and your account identifier. Export your account data in Preferences. Subject to applicable rules, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability. Cancel active subscriptions before requesting workspace deletion. Some billing records may need to be retained for accounting requirements.
For privacy requests, contact contact@gamekin.app and mention Ekinox. You may also contact the French supervisory authority, CNIL.
